On the first missions, the player takes the role as Task Force Ranger and 10th Mountain Division soldier, later as a Delta Force operator. Experience the intense combat of Operation Restore Hope in this groundbreaking first-person shooter. As a Delta Force operative participate in a number of daring and intense raids against the oppressive Somali warlords in and around Mogadishu. The first few missions in the game are designed to make the player accustomed with the different types of weapons, their usage, enemy AI, terrain types, and combat techniques. The majority of the missions involve convoy protection, providing security for ration distributions, destroying weapon stockpiles, taking prisoners, and rescuing hostages.
